Dear Holy Redeemer Families,
At the end of the day on January 19, 2024 you may have received communication from the GYPSD transportation department regarding changes to a 1:00 pm early dismissal scheduled for February 7th, 2024 as a result of GYPSD’s most recently negotiated agreement with their teachers.
Thus, in response to this most recent announcement regarding changes in the GYPSD collective agreements, our Living Waters Edson Schools are in the process of getting a calendar change approved by the Living Waters Board at their regular meeting of the Board on January 23, 2024. Following the Board meeting, we will update staff, students, and families so everyone can make necessary arrangements to respond to this unanticipated mid year change in the calendar.
As we face unexpected challenges, we can turn to Philippians 4:13 for comfort: "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." This verse highlights the idea that with God's strength, we can navigate and overcome change. We apologize for the inconveniences this may cause families and assure you that our leadership team, including Superintendent Mrs. Jo-Anne Lanctot and Board Chair Mrs. Gemma Christie, is actively addressing these challenges for the betterment of our Living Waters Catholic Schools.
