Holy Redeemer grade 11 student Cody Van Beek won the Young Artist in the Community Award at the Arts on Fire Awards virtual gala on September 24th. Van Beek is an active participant in the HRH Drama Program. "Cody works incredibly hard to improve his acting skills each and every time he performs," says Drama Teacher Peter Taylor. "Everyone at HRH is incredibly proud of Cody and all he has done." Van Beek commented when he accepted the award that drama has transformed him from a quiet and shy individual, to an active and outgoing person at HRH. His next acting gig will see him portray Bob Cratchit in this year's HRH Production of A Christmas Carol in December.
