Accountability Pillar Online Report Initiative

Holy Redeemer improved on three measures of their accountability pillar. High School Completion data improved from 78% to 82%, meaning more of our students are successfully completing High School. In addition, our transition rate also moved significantly from 44.8% to 55.1%, which is an increase of 10.3%. The transition rate measures the number of students who are attending post-secondary. Research tells us that students who complete post-secondary will earn significantly more over the course of their lifetime. We are also very proud of our Rutherford Scholarship Eligibility Rate, which increased from 61% to 68%. It is important to note that this is an increase from our three year average of 64.3%, and above the provincial average of 63.5%.

With Covid-19, Provincial Achievement Tests and Diploma Exams were cancelled. As a result, there is no data to share on these measures. However, Holy Redeemer teachers will be involved in the creation of divisional assessments for Grade 9, which will provide another data set to ensure alignment and improvement.

Parental Involvement, Citizenship, Safe and Caring Schools, and Dropout Rate continue to be areas where achievement has been maintained. Credit for this stability is due to our faith-filled environment that is welcoming to all. Staff make a concerted effort to make connections with their students. This is more important than ever given our current pandemic.  Holy Redeemer will retain our laser-like focus on continuous improvement with faith as our cornerstone.

Holy Redeemer has a number of things to be proud of in regards to their overall accountability pillar. We value the quality educational experience that we provide for our students. Our results indicate that our students are well prepared for future success.
