Hi! I’m Kim Nahirniak and I teach Math 9, 10C and 20-2 at Holy Redeemer. I grew up in central Alberta, in the small town of Castor. After graduation I attended Augustana University College in Camrose for a year before transferring to the University of Alberta to complete my formal education. There I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree followed by a Bachelor of Education. I began my teaching career in southern Alberta teaching in Brocket on the Peigan reservation. I then moved to Lethbridge where I taught in a private school. Next I moved back to central Alberta, to Lacombe, where I taught in Red Deer and Eckville. I was hired at Holy Redeemer when it opened in 2003 and I have been here ever since. I really enjoy being a part of our excellent staff and school culture. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, shopping and travelling. I have been fortunate enough to do some travelling over the past few years, so far I have been to Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Cuba, Alaska, Brazil, New York City and Halifax.
