Art Show, April 10th
Preparations are well underway for Holy Redeemer’s Art Show. The evening is an annual showcase of the amazing works of art by the HRH students.
“I’m always so impressed by the amazing pieces of art that our students produce,” says Art Teacher Sandy Fedorak. “This year will be no different and we hope it is one of the best years for showcasing the students’ original work.”
The event is set to take place on Wednesday, April 10th, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
For any first time attendees, they will see dozens of works of art from masks to collages to paintings to sketches.
“Our students are so diverse in their talents,” says Fedorak. “We go through a number of different art techniques throughout the courses, however different students showcase talent in different areas. This Art Show allows them to share their talents for the public to see.”
In addition to the many works of art, there will be a number of woodworking items courtesy of the Industrial Arts Program, along with some photographs courtesy of the Photography Department.
“This event tries to bring together all forms of visual artwork,” says Fedorak. “It’s important that students realize their skills are appreciated by the public.”
The artwork is created by students in grade 7 to 12 from the Junior High Art Option to the high school Art 10, 20 and 30 courses.
The HRH Art Show is free to attend and will feature live music and refreshments.
