Grade 12 Student Nabs Huge Scholarship

Holy Redeemer Grade 12 student Spencer Smith just received word that he has been awarded the President's Centenary Entrance Citation Scholarship for the University of Alberta. It is a $50,000 scholarship where he will receive $12,500 for each of his four years at the university. The award is given to students entering an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta from high school on the basis of a 95%+ admission average. Here is a photo of the very excited Smith next to Assistant Principal Diane Williams. "Spencer is a brilliant student who has worked incredibly hard during his schooling years," says Williams. "He is also a dedicated track athlete, a 2017 Alberta Tri-Province team athlete and medalist. Our school community couldn't be more proud."
